Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Escondido Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that search on its own servers. If you send a message, the operators receive the information in the message and use it to respond.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
The hosting service may record ordinary server-log details, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand broad page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where those services are enabled.
How Collected Data Is Used
Technical information is used to operate the pages, resolve faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and the operators do not build individual profiles from ordinary use of the site.
Links to Other Websites
The pages link to San Diego County and California records portals, the City of Escondido, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Information submitted to those destinations is governed by their own privacy notices. The sponsored result box is supplied by a third party and is subject to that provider’s practices.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and technical service providers may process server-log data while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not disclosed except as needed to provide the service.
Security Measures
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the purposes that require them. No account exists here, so the site does not maintain a visitor password or profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, contact the operators so it can be reviewed and deleted.
California Privacy Choices
Depending on the visitor’s location, rights may include access, correction, deletion, and choices about sale or sharing of qualifying personal information held by a covered business. California’s Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., as amended, supplies the state framework. The California Attorney General privacy explanation describes those rights, while the California Privacy Protection Agency’s DROP platform provides a separate data-broker deletion route.
Because this site retains very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs and removing qualifying information found there. Use the Contact page. Public records held by San Diego County ARCC, the Escondido City Clerk, or the Pioneer Room are outside the operators’ control; requests about those records belong with the custodian office.
Changes to This Policy
Any revision will be posted in this location with an updated version of the policy. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the posted terms.
